Hugh Ogletree Jr., D.M.D., M.S.
Dr. Ogletree is from Salem, Alabama and is a second generation dentist. Dr. Ogletree received his Undergraduate degree in Zoology from Auburn University, his Graduate degree in Medical Science from Hampton University and graduated from the University Of Alabama School Of Dentistry.
Dr. Ogletree is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Education Association and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Ogletree is a service oriented person who enjoys volunteering his time in the community. He started volunteering at the age of 7 with the local Ronald McDonald house and more recently, Dr. Ogletree volunteered his dental services at North Carolina Missions of Mercy.
Dr. Ogletree loves to travel and experience other cultures, as well. He is also a sports car enthusiast, and enjoys attending sporting events, especially college football games and car rallies. He is a self-proclaimed “foodie” and maintains a geographic restaurant list of places to try and writes about his experiences in a food blog.
Priya Patel, D.D.S.
Dr. Patel was born and raised in Leeds, England, and completed her undergraduate studies at North Carolina State University. She majored in Chemistry and Biology. As a proud part of the Wolfpack, she engaged in multiple Mission of Mercy dental clinics throughout North Carolina serving the rural communities.
Dr. Patel received her DDS degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed a general practice residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and manages to keep up with new techniques and technology through her active membership in the Spear Study Club. She is also an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and the North Carolina Dental Society.
Dr. Patel enjoys kickboxing, cooking, travelling, painting, and spending time with her friends and family.
Courtney May, D.D.S.
Dr. May was raised in the South Charlotte area where she attended Providence High School.
She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in biology. While at Chapel Hill, Dr. May volunteered her time in rural communities, both local and abroad, through the NC Missions of Mercy and the UNC Global Brigades.
Dr. May received her DMD degree from the University of Louisville. She went on to complete a general practice residency at Palmetto Health in Columbia,SC, where she expanded her knowledge and skills in restorative, surgical, and implant dentistry.
Dr. May is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the North Carolina Dental Society.
Dr. May enjoys spending time outdoors, attending sporting events, trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
Amelia Groeschel | Practice Manager
Amelia moved here in 2013 from Atlanta. She attended Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, WV. She is the proud mother of three amazing kids and has an equally amazing husband. She enjoys spending time with her family, watching football (FSU and WVU) and going to movies.
Jessica Westendorf | Dental Hygienist
Jessica is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association. Jessica graduated from Central Piedmont Community College in 2007. She has lived and worked in the Charlotte/Belmont area since moving here from Ohio in 2003. Jessica, along with her husband, Matt spends their free time chasing their daughter, Isla, and their two dogs. They enjoy doing yard work and watching football on the weekends.
Sarah Patterson | Dental Assistant
Sarah started working in the dental field in 2006 working at the front desk where she quickly learned that she wanted to so much more in the dental field. In 2008 she went to CPCC to get her x-ray certification and started assisting. She was born and raised in Mt. Holly where she currently resides with her puppy, Bentley. She has a great passion to help others. When she’s not working, you can most likely find her will be hanging out with family or at church. She also enjoys traveling every chance she gets.
Joshua Kolton Harris | Hygiene Assistant
Kolton graduated from Highland School of Technology and is certified to give dental radiographs. He is currently working on his BS and then plans on applying to Chapel Hill Dentistry School or to the oral surgery program at the University of West Virginia. He also plans on joining the military to further his educational career. In his free time you can find him mountain biking through Virginia or kayaking on Lake Norman.
