Owner & Dentist

Gregory Cook, D.M.D.

Dr. Cook has been at Belmont Dental since 2018. He grew up in Charlotte, NC, where he attended Charlotte Country Day School. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Chicago, IL. Dr. Cook was the third graduating class at a new dental school, where he was able to train and learn the newest techniques in the field of dentistry at a state-of-the-art facility.

Dr. Cook continued his dental training and moved back to Charlotte and completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Carolinas Medical Center. He used his time in residency to gain exposure to all branches of dentistry, with a strong emphasis on oral surgery and treating medically compromised patients. Dr. Cook also gained experience in treating and managing dental trauma and infections in the Emergency Department at the hospital. Dr. Cook loves going on adventures with his wife and 4 kids. He likes to spend his evenings behind the grill. He is an avid golfer and a huge Carolina Panthers fan.

Dentist

Tyler Antonelli, DDS

Dr. Tyler Antonelli, originally from Wilmington, NC, earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina Honors College and later completed a Master’s in Biomedical Science, focusing his research on periodontal disease and cranial anatomy. He then attended UNC for dental school, specializing in restorative and cosmetic dentistry.

Following dental school, Dr. Antonelli completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program with the US Air Force at Joint Base Andrews, gaining expertise in a variety of dental procedures. He then served as a general dentist at Davis-Monthan Air Base in Tucson, AZ before moving into private practice.

Outside of work, Dr. Antonelli enjoys walks with his wife and two dogs, bird-watching, golfing, and cooking. His passion for dentistry stems from his love for science, art, and people, and he prioritizes making every patient’s experience comfortable and positive.
